ISLE
OF BESAID |

Once a large city covered the
small island of Besaid, now shrouded
with natures doing as it lays
in ruin. The surrounding ruins
are a constant reminder of Sin,
thus the populace stays away from
machina and are strong believers
in Yevon. The island is known
for its hospitality as well as
quality cloths and goods.

LIKI |
|
|
The medium sized, chocobo powered
S.S. Liki is used by islanders
and travelers alike as the only
means of transportation between
the Isle of Besaid and Kilika.

KILIKA |
| |
Kilika is a small and peaceful
village that rests above the water
north of Besaid. With its hut-like
homes and wooden docks, Kilika
is one of the homier places to
visit in Spira. Subject to an
attack by Sin, many of the townspeople
were wiped out along with the
majority of the piers and residences.

S.S.
WINO |
|
|
This medium sized boat is the
only means of transportation between
Kilika and Luca. The S.S. Wino
is used by many travelers and
merchants as a means of reaching
the mainland and on through Spira.

LUCA |
| |
Luca stands as the largest city
in all of Spira. Having the only
blitzball stadium in Spira, people
flock from all over to take part
in blitzball tournaments and games,
making Luca a tourist hotspot.
|

MI'IHEN
HIGHROAD |
|
|
Between the Mi’Ihen Highroad and
Old Road, there is plenty for
travelers to see. These commonly
used roads on the outskirts of
Luca are full of tall bushy grass
and ancient lore. Using the prime
source of transportation, chocobos,
one will easily enjoy the sights
and sounds on their way to the
Mushroom Rock Road.

MUSHROOM
ROCK |

Earning the name Mushroom Rock
for its unique mushroom shaped
terrain, this was the unfortunate
location in which Sin obliterated
allied Al Bhed and Crusader forces
in their attempt to defeat Sin
using machina.

DJOSE |
|
|
While Djose isn’t home to much,
this electrifying location’s temple
is a sight to see.
|
|
|
 |
MOONFLOW |
| |
The Moonflow is a beautiful river
that flows through Spira. The
water’s glistening luster caused
by the glint of the pyreflies
makes this is a memorable spot
for travelers. Shoopuf rides are
a common means of moving across
the Moonflow and upon crossing
a city that once stood above the
waters’ surface can be seen, submerged
in the depths.

GUADOSALAM |
|
|
Guadosalam, home of the Guado
is known for its entrance of the
Farplane, the final resting place
for those who have been sent from
the world of the living. Summoners
make short stops here to pay their
respects to their fallen friends
and loved ones.

THUNDER
PLAINS |

A long and sometimes treacherous
route, the Thunder Plains are
continuously bombarded by lightning.
An Al Bhed named Bilghen set up
large rods to help direct lightning
away from the main path, offering
safer passage as many have lost
their lives while traveling this
road.

MACALANIA |
|
|
While the area’s arctic climate
doesn’t offer much to vacationers,
Macalania’s great lake is a sight
to see. With its radiant trees
and sparkling beauty, Macalania
attracts travelers from all over
Spira.

BIKANEL |

A hot, dry and seemingly endless
desert filled with fiends, Sanubia
Desert is where the single largest
Al Bhed city, “Home,” is located.
Bikanel Island isn’t exactly a
top choice for a getaway and not
known to have many visitors.

BEVELLE |
|
|
The heart of Yevon and Yuna’s
birthplace, Bevelle is the largest
city in all of Spira. While the
teachings of Yevon outlaw its
use, Bevelle devastated Zanarkand
with their advanced technology
in the great machina war 1000
years ago.

CALM
LANDS |
| |
A vast field connecting Bevelle
to Zanarkand, the Calm Lands are
an ancient battleground on which
summoners would fight Sin to the
death. Subject to battle scars
and Spirian lore, this vast region
is now a tranquil resting spot
before the final push towards
Zanarkand.

MT.
GAGAZET |
|
|
Mt. Gagazet is home to the proud
and honorable Ronso and is the
final stop on a summoner’s pilgrimage.
Shrouded by blizzard conditions
and home to many fiends, only
the strong have a chance of survival
on the blusterous mountain paths.

ZANARKAND |

A thousand years ago, the world
of Spira was covered with large
cities. Among the largest was
the great machina metropolis,
Zanarkand. With the birth of Sin,
Zanarkand fell to the fiend’s
ultimate and merciless power,
forever resting in ruins. Summoners
travel here from all over to obtain
Spira’s last hope, The Final Summoning.

AL
BHED SALVAGE SHIP |
|
|
While Yevon forbids its use, this
large Al Bhed run ship is used
to salvage machina relics from
the scattered ruins of Spira.
|
|
|

BAJJ |
| |
Once the site of a great temple
of Yevon, Bajj now lays in ruin
at the bottom of the ocean. Since
its downfall this forgotten place
has become home to many fiends
warding off unwanted visitors.
|
|
|
 |
OMEGA
RUINS |
| |
These uncharted ruins are made
up of winding tunnels and swarms
with the deadliest of fiends.
A traitor by the name of Omega
was banished by Yevon to these
forsaken ruins long ago, giving
them the name Omega Ruins.
