ISLE OF BESAID

Once a large city covered the small island of Besaid, now shrouded with natures doing as it lays in ruin. The surrounding ruins are a constant reminder of Sin, thus the populace stays away from machina and are strong believers in Yevon. The island is known for its hospitality as well as quality cloths and goods.

S.S. LIKI

The medium sized, chocobo powered S.S. Liki is used by islanders and travelers alike as the only means of transportation between the Isle of Besaid and Kilika.

KILIKA

Kilika is a small and peaceful village that rests above the water north of Besaid. With its hut-like homes and wooden docks, Kilika is one of the homier places to visit in Spira. Subject to an attack by Sin, many of the townspeople were wiped out along with the majority of the piers and residences.

S.S. WINO

This medium sized boat is the only means of transportation between Kilika and Luca. The S.S. Wino is used by many travelers and merchants as a means of reaching the mainland and on through Spira.

LUCA

Luca stands as the largest city in all of Spira. Having the only blitzball stadium in Spira, people flock from all over to take part in blitzball tournaments and games, making Luca a tourist hotspot.

MI'IHEN HIGHROAD

Between the Mi’Ihen Highroad and Old Road, there is plenty for travelers to see. These commonly used roads on the outskirts of Luca are full of tall bushy grass and ancient lore. Using the prime source of transportation, chocobos, one will easily enjoy the sights and sounds on their way to the Mushroom Rock Road.

MUSHROOM ROCK

Earning the name Mushroom Rock for its unique mushroom shaped terrain, this was the unfortunate location in which Sin obliterated allied Al Bhed and Crusader forces in their attempt to defeat Sin using machina.

DJOSE

While Djose isn’t home to much, this electrifying location’s temple is a sight to see.

MOONFLOW

The Moonflow is a beautiful river that flows through Spira. The water’s glistening luster caused by the glint of the pyreflies makes this is a memorable spot for travelers. Shoopuf rides are a common means of moving across the Moonflow and upon crossing a city that once stood above the waters’ surface can be seen, submerged in the depths.

GUADOSALAM

Guadosalam, home of the Guado is known for its entrance of the Farplane, the final resting place for those who have been sent from the world of the living. Summoners make short stops here to pay their respects to their fallen friends and loved ones.

THUNDER PLAINS

A long and sometimes treacherous route, the Thunder Plains are continuously bombarded by lightning. An Al Bhed named Bilghen set up large rods to help direct lightning away from the main path, offering safer passage as many have lost their lives while traveling this road.

MACALANIA

While the area’s arctic climate doesn’t offer much to vacationers, Macalania’s great lake is a sight to see. With its radiant trees and sparkling beauty, Macalania attracts travelers from all over Spira.

BIKANEL

A hot, dry and seemingly endless desert filled with fiends, Sanubia Desert is where the single largest Al Bhed city, “Home,” is located. Bikanel Island isn’t exactly a top choice for a getaway and not known to have many visitors.

BEVELLE

The heart of Yevon and Yuna’s birthplace, Bevelle is the largest city in all of Spira. While the teachings of Yevon outlaw its use, Bevelle devastated Zanarkand with their advanced technology in the great machina war 1000 years ago.

CALM LANDS

A vast field connecting Bevelle to Zanarkand, the Calm Lands are an ancient battleground on which summoners would fight Sin to the death. Subject to battle scars and Spirian lore, this vast region is now a tranquil resting spot before the final push towards Zanarkand.

MT. GAGAZET

Mt. Gagazet is home to the proud and honorable Ronso and is the final stop on a summoner’s pilgrimage. Shrouded by blizzard conditions and home to many fiends, only the strong have a chance of survival on the blusterous mountain paths.

ZANARKAND

A thousand years ago, the world of Spira was covered with large cities. Among the largest was the great machina metropolis, Zanarkand. With the birth of Sin, Zanarkand fell to the fiend’s ultimate and merciless power, forever resting in ruins. Summoners travel here from all over to obtain Spira’s last hope, The Final Summoning.

AL BHED SALVAGE SHIP

While Yevon forbids its use, this large Al Bhed run ship is used to salvage machina relics from the scattered ruins of Spira.

BAJJ

Once the site of a great temple of Yevon, Bajj now lays in ruin at the bottom of the ocean. Since its downfall this forgotten place has become home to many fiends warding off unwanted visitors.

OMEGA RUINS

These uncharted ruins are made up of winding tunnels and swarms with the deadliest of fiends. A traitor by the name of Omega was banished by Yevon to these forsaken ruins long ago, giving them the name Omega Ruins.
